Front man BeSpoken had this to say about the new addition to what seems like a constantly changing line up: “I’ve been asking Dan to come back to Wales since he left, mainly to jam with the band. It was a shame D.P left but we’re all buzzing to have someone we’re already close to and who is on the same page musically take up the position of lead guitarist”.

When and why did you start playing guitar?
I started on my 15th or 16th birthday. I’ve always loved music so much, I couldn’t get enough out just listening so seemed a natural progression to start playing. From there I practiced 3-5 hours a day and haven’t really put the guitar down since.

What other instruments can you play?

I can play a little drums, I’ll have a jam on any instrument to make some noise. I’m not proficient on any other instrument though.

What bands have you been in? Any solo projects?

Been playing and writing since I was young, just bits and pieces of solo stuff. I’ve jammed with a few bands over the years, some with other band members before JuggaNote was around, done some session work so played a few gigs but never been a full time band member.

Who or what are your main musical influences?

Too many bands to mention. I’m mostly into rock and metal but I’ve loved hip hop since I was a kid. I appreciate a lot of music - playing guitar opened up my ears to a lot of other stuff, but a lot of the gangster shit got in the way.

Any non-musical influences?

Anybody who’s done anything with a positive effect. Authors like Jack Kerouac and Hunter S Thompson for highlighting different points of view with a ‘warts and all’ realistic perspective.

How do you feel about working with JuggaNote?

I’m excited, it’s about f*****g time! The chance to get to rock out with old friends - it’s gonna be awesome.

What are your Ideas or plans for the future musically?

Moving forward, being proactive, doing as much as we can with the massive potential we all have.

Once again JuggaNote will be in attendance at this years Cardiff Global Marijuana March. Although not all of the band members are smokers they are in firm agreement that the U.K’s drug policies are seriously flawed, particular in relation to Marijuana with current legislation being way out of line with public opinion. While these policies aren’t expected to change over night it’s acknowledged that those who do use Marijuana for medicinal and/or recreational use are not the real criminals. If you are a smoker and live in the area there is no good excuse not to  come out and stand proud with those who share your passion. Standing together to help raise awareness of these issues along with attempting to help normalize and expose Marijuana culture to those who may have a negative view of ‘smokers’ is a most worthy cause.
So, if you’re free and in the area, smoker or not, come along, join the march, ask questions, listen to the many great speakers and potentially have a great day with a load of good people.
March’s are happening all over world so please make the effort wherever you are to get out there and represent. Peaceful protest isn’t good for much but to raise awareness so lets go with that.

We don’t want to bore you with details but the band along with all the extended JuggaNote family would like to welcome two new members into the fold (and we didn’t even have to change any band members)

Within the last two months Guitarist Dave Pierce and Frontman Steve ‘BeSpoken’ Dancey have both become Dads. Evie Jo Pierce was born July 11th and Melody Jay Dancey on 13th of August. Jugga-mothers and Jugga-babas are all healthy and doing well. Congrats guys, and big love to you all.

You may have noticed that JuggaNote haven’t been playing at a venue near you recently. After changing guitarists at the beginning of 2011 and a move of the Jugga HQ in June the band had been taking some time out to write and record some new material. With that very nearly done and a new E.P in the pipeline (further details TBC) the Jugga boys have decided it’s time to come out and play.

Our friends at the Cardiff chapter of the Zeitgeist Movement have arranged a media festival to be held at Cardiff Arts Institute on Sunday 11th September. What better opportunity for the band to try out some new material, with Killa Kela headlining and a host of local talent supporting its set to be an awesome event.
